Basic Japanese Language Course - N5

Course Overview

The Basic Japanese Language Course aims to help students gain an entry-level understanding of the Japanese language. At the program's start, students will be able to communicate in Japanese daily, making it an excellent foundation for JLPT N5 Preparation.

Batches

The course is accessible in both weekend and weekday batches.

Course Duration

Four months for weekday batches
Five months for weekend batches

Course Outcomes

After completing the curriculum, students will be able to:

  • Introduce themselves.
  • Greet people in Japanese.
  • Learn popular phrases and how to form simple phrases in Japanese.
  • Gain knowledge of grammatical practices and vocabulary.
  • Understand verbs and their past, future, and negative forms.
  • Use fundamental grammatical ideas like adjectives.

Reading Skills

Students will be able to read and understand typical expressions and sentences written in hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji.

Listening Skills

Students will be able to listen to and comprehend conversations about topics regularly encountered in daily life and classroom situations, picking up necessary information from short conversations spoken slowly.

Practical Communication

The student will be enabled to read and write small paragraphs, converse in day-to-day situations like inviting someone, offering help, making requests, complaining, and apologizing effectively. This course will enable students to appear for the N-5 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT/NAT).

Teaching Methods

TLS uses a variety of teaching resources, including video presentations, audio tools, and flashcards, as well as common tactics such as conversation kits, verbal techniques, and lesson explanation materials.
